Small plane crashes in northern Greek village

A single-engine plane crashed into a small building in a village in northern Greece on Monday morning, News Bomb reported.

The incident happened in the village of Proti, in the regional unit of Serres, central Macedonia.

Fire Brigade crews and police officers rushed to the scene.

No injuries among the residents have so far been reported.

The pilot was transferred by ambulance to the General Hospital of Serres, and is in a stable condition.

According to information from serraikanea.gr, the pilot was a 19-year-old who comes from the area. The young pilot studies at then Civil Aviation Training School was on a training flight when it crashed under unknown circumstances.
