Cyberwar escalates as Anonymous Greece extracts sensitive Turkish military data

Days ago a cyberwar between Greek hacker group Anonymous Greece and Turkish hackers of RootAyyildiz sparked up again when the website of the Greek Ministry of Labor was attacked by the Turks, who left a message saying on the ministry website that their attack is related to the Oruç Reis Turkish research vessel that violated Greece’s continental shelf and Exclusive Economic Zone, as reported by Greek City Times.

Anonymous Greece would hack into a Turkish government website, leaving the message “Stop violating our laws and international laws by illegally sending ships, aircrafts, submarines and drones. Also stop using humans as hybrid weapons on our borders. For any new attacks we will attack back to targets as well.”

Anonymous Greece would not stop their revenge attack with just this though, and would bring down the whole website of the Turkish government.

Humiliated that Greek hackers had once again humiliated them, Turkish hackers altered the home page of the Region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace and the 424th General Military Hospital by posting photos of the Oruç Reis seismographic ship accompanied by nationalist text messages.

However, Anonymous Greece were quick to respond to the Turkish hackers, and once again outclassed them.

First, Anonymous Greece would reveal that one of the Turkish hackers using the online name @ynsmroztas, is actually Yunus Emre Kılıç. Kılıç on his now locked Instagram account says he is in cyber security.

Next, Anonymous Greece took down all Turkish navy domains and obtained sensitive information like names, computers and confidential emails.

Anonymous Greece then announced that they had done the exact same thing to the Turkish Air Force.

Finally, Anonymous Greece made a chilling warning to the Turkish state-backed hackers.

"Mongols don't challenge us because we will break you and you won't know where to hide.
We have access to your critical bases and sensitive data.
A while ago we told you that we had access to your hospital but we respected the patients and did not publish their details.
Well it's your time, here are some of your patients names out of 161,623 in total.
We also present some elements and photos from your army we have intercepted.
Erdogan may pay you to do these and you will be his "dog" all your life but no one orders us.
From today onward your destruction begins.
Some screenshots from hospital data, clinics and from the Turkish army (Land and Navy).
Let's not forget that we also have the full name of Akincilar's dude who hit Greek state infrastructure.
His full name will be published at night hours
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ hits to e-banking Turkish banks and more data from state infrastructure in the next few days."

Earlier this year, Turkish hackers without provocation brought down the websites of two small municipalities in Macedonia and the South Aegean. Anonymous Greece were at the forefront of revenge attacks and absolutely humiliated the Turkish hackers by downing the Turkish Foreign and Defence ministries website, the Turkish government’s Cybersecurity website, and attaining over 150,000 Turkish medical files, promising to make more attacks if Turkish provocations continued.

RootAyyıldız, who was responsible for downing the Ministry of Labor, was so humiliated earlier this year that they had to lie about downing the Greek Interior Ministry website, as previously reported by Greek City Times.
