  • Increased ground and air border surveillance measures, with active Army Units and the use of multiple electronic means (electro-optical sensors, radio locators, etc.), as well as aircraft.
  • Constantly installs and to a greater extent, improved barriers, which aim for the universal prevention of illegal entry of immigrants within Greek territory.

In March this year, Turkey attempted to assymetrically invade Greece with the use of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Turkey had not only falsely told the illegal immigrants that Greece's borders were open, but it also facilitated the transportation of the illegal immigrants and utilized their army to try and tear down Greece's border wall.

To assist in distracting the Turkish population for his failures in Syria and the economy, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan fully utilized Turkish media to assist in the propaganda campaign that Greece was violently abusing the illegal immigrants. Turkey is one of the lowest ranked countries for media freedoms in the world, is the second most susceptible country surveyed on the European continent to fake news, has the most journalists jailed in the whole world, and 90% of media is government controlled.
