Maldives-style luxury villas in Crete

How does sipping cocktails while tanning and relaxing on the hammock in your own suite sound?

Unreal, and almost like a dream, we know.

And you can experience this without having to fly to the Maldives, but in Crete.

Stella Island Luxury Resort & Spa is an adults-only resort, designed in a unique Maldivian hotel style, located in the area of Analipsi, a village near Hersonissos, Crete.

The luxury five-star resort which opened in 2017, has 225 elegant rooms and villas offering luxury services and a variety of restaurants aiming to indulge your senses.

Some call it 'heaven on earth', 'a temple of relaxation' while others refer to it as 'a real slice of paradise'.

And how can we not mention the lagoon-style pool and lounge islands which spans across the entire resort, which will “make you feel cosy and stress-free,” according to the website.

Each bungalow has a double bed, walk-in shower, large windows to admire the view, a private pool deck and a hammock.

We know you want to jump straight into the water from your bedroom!

There are also an array of facilities and services including spa treatments, hot stone massages, rejuvenation packages, stellar wining & dining options.

It almost feels as though the whole hotel is floating on water.

As of July 1, Greece opened to tourism following the relaxation of coronavirus-related restrictions.

All passengers arriving in Greece must fill in a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least a day before arrival, providing information that will include their departure airport, the address where they will be staying and the expected duration of their stay in Greece, among others.

The information on the form is a key element of the country’s planning for protection against the pandemic and preventing the spread of the virus.

The data from each traveller will be analysed and based on it, they will receive a special barcode which will determine if upon arrival the passenger will be tested for COVID-19 or not.

Before travelling, it is still paramount that you check the travel restrictions in place for the country or island you want to visit.
