Flight makes an emergency landing in Kos after passenger refuses to wear a mask

A flight en route to London made an emergency landing at Kos Island International Airport on Sunday, after a British passenger refused to comply with coronavirus safety measures and wear a mask.

According to reports, the 32-year-old traveller had boarded at Antalya airport in Turkey and was returning home.

However, during the flight the passenger did not comply with the crew's instructions to wear a face mask.

His attitude led to the pilot activating the appropriate protocol to divert the aircraft to the nearest airport- Kos, where he was arrested by Greek authorities upon landing.
