The Federation of Pontian Associations of Australia, have issued a message expressing their support to the Armenian people, which you can read here-

The Federation of Pontian Associations of Australia condemns the aggressive and inhumane attacks by the Alijev regime on the Armenian people in the Republic of Artsakh.

With strong support from Turkey’s dictator and human rights violator Erdogan, Azerbaijani forces have been carrying out attacks on innocent civilians for days now.

The Aliyev regime of Azerbaijan, itself a satellite Turkish state, did not shy away from its cruel intentions to continue the genocidal work that their ancestors have perpetrated and continue to perpetrate on the Armenian people. Turkey’s relentless aggression in Syria, Armenia, the East Mediterranean, Iraq, Libya needs to be stopped.

Time and time again the world’s placation of Turkish aggression and lack of accountability for the genocide of the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek people has lead to the continual humanitarian disasters the world has seen.

We call on the Australian Government to condemn these acts and demand answers from Turkey and stand up for human rights.

We call on the all governments to assist Armenia and put a stop to the genocide of the Armenian people of Artsakh.

We need not go too far back in time and look at how Britain reversed the disastrous policy of appeasing Adolph Hitler. The man responsible for reversing this policy at the time said this: “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile—hoping it will eat him last.” Sir Winston Churchill.

Justice for Armenia. Justice for democracy. Justice for humanity.

Good health and God bless.

Peter Stefanidis, President

Nikolaos Makridis, Secretary
