Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari have hit their way into the third round of the French Open!

World number six Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Pablo Cuevas 6-1 6-4 6-2 in 88 minutes on Thursday.

"Right now the way I see it, it will be the physical challenge of playing a Grand Slam," Tsitsipas said after the match.

"Grand Slam tournaments are way different than any other tournaments we get to play the rest of the year...So it is very challenging coming in in one of them and it requires very good physicality," the 22-year-old added.

He will meet Slovenia's Aljaz Bedene, for a spot in the fourth round.

Meanwhile Maria Sakkari is fighting it and defeated Kamilla Rakhimova 7-6, 6-2, to advance into the next round.

“For me, the A and Z is to win and I do not care how… I have seen myself play better and I know it is inside me,” the world number 24 said.

Sakkari continued to fire warnings to her opponents. “I do not care about the way or the opponent, I will try to make her life difficult. This is for sure."

She will now take on former world number 20 will play Martina Trevisan.

Sakkari has shown she can compete with the very best, as she defeated former world No. 1 in women’s single tennis, Serena Williams, last month.
