The unreliability of Turkey was highlighted by Greek government spokesman Stelios Petsas in an interview with ERT.

Europe was deceived by Turkey, Petsas noted, explaining that even countries that believed Ankara's words saw their hopes dashed.

The climate shows that Europe's patience has been exhausted and added that the government will continue condemning the Turkish provocative actions in Cyprus - with the opening of Varosha beach - and the Eastern Mediterranean.

As he stressed, the "red line" of Athens is the defense of the sovereignty and sovereign rights of the country.

In relation to the extension of Greece's territorial waters from six nautical miles to 12, he pointed out that Greece always has the right to do so by international law.

Concluding, he underlined that the most important thing is the international condemnation of Turkey's actions, while he also noted the confidence of the Greek side regarding the pressure that the neighboring country will receive.
