"Let the dances last" - Greece 2021 (VIDEO)

The song “Let the dances last” by Dionysis Savvopoulos was chosen by the “Greece 2021” Committee as the soundtrack for the official video clip of the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Greek Revolution.

The cheerful and optimistic song, has been loved by millions of Greeks and presents the historical course of Greece, through the allegory of the celebration of a group of modern Greeks.

Through his lyrics, the timeless course of Hellenism from antiquity to the present day is presented with particular sensitivity.

“The communities of the Greeks”, in a great national coming together, walking together in the future, condense in the best way the message of modern and optimistic patriotism that the 200th anniversary of the Revolution is trying to convey.

"We chose this song because it describes in a unique way our common journey," Chairperson of the ‘Greece 2021′ Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, said.

"In 2021 we look forward. We combine our "old and burning tracks" with a bright and optimistic future. Because the journey of the Greeks continues. So let the dances last!" she concluded.

The video clip was shot at Kallimarmaro and at the Olympic stadium.

More than 300 people were involved in this project which took three months of uninterrupted and collective work to complete.
