Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

For this reason - he said - he responded immediately, referring to his Twitter post from Sunday, where he wrote:

"Rather than a positive agenda, Turkey chooses provocations, unilateral actions in the Mediterranean and now insults. It’s intolerable."

Asked about the COVID-19 situation across the continent, Michel noted that this is a "mass wave" and added that "the virus has not revealed all its mysteries."

Regarding the vaccine, Michel expressed the hope that it will be available before the end of the year or early 2021.

"According to our information, we hope that before the end of the year and at the beginning of the next, 3 or 4 vaccines will be gradually available."

This news comes as COVID-19 is experiencing a second wave across Europe.
