Former Malaysian PM: "Muslims have a right to be angry and kill millions of French people"

A former Malaysian Prime Minister has made a shocking statement by saying that Muslims have a right to "kill millions of French people" in the aftermath of a shocking terrorist attack earlier today in Nice.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the fourth and seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia, wrote on Twitter that "Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past."

His shocking statement just came our mere moments after three people were killed by a terrorist shouting "Allahu Akbar", Arabic for "God is Great", at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Nice.

One of the victims, a woman, was beheaded.

The former Malaysian Prime Minister's comments were said in the context of a long Twitter thread that attempted to whitewash today's terrorist attack and the beheading of Samuel Paty, denounce female freedoms, and justify why France today should be punished for its colonial past.

Malaysia and Turkey enjoy extremely close relations and the Southeast Asian country been one of the main supporters of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's crusade against France.

Malaysian and Turkish cooperation also extend into the military field, where only at the end of last year the two countries signed new pacts.

Meanwhile, after the attack in Nice, another knifeman also shouting Allahu Akbar was shot dead by police in Avignon.
