Greece’s Civil Protection has updated the colour-coded covid-19 map.

This tool enables citizens to track the spread of the coronavirus in each of the country’s 74 regions and keep up to date with the latest restrictions in each area.

The 74 regional units on the map are indicated by three colour-coded levels:

  • Level A – Monitoring – YELLOW
  • Level B – High-risk – RED
  • Level C – Local Lockdown – GREY

Level A – Yellow: Andros, Argolida, Arcadia, Arta, Achaia, Grevena, Evia, Evritania, Etoloakarnania, Zakynthos, Ilia, Heraklion, Thasas, Thesprotia, Ithaki, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karditsa, Karpathos-Kasos, Kea-Kythnos, Corfu, Kefallonia, Corinth, Kos, Laconia, Lassithi, Lesvos, Lefkada, Lemnos, Messinia, Milos, Mykonos, Attica Islands (except Salamina, which is in the red zone), Paros, Preveza, Rethymno, Rhodes, Samos, Sporades, Syros, Tinos, Fthiotida, Florina, Fokida, Chania, Chios.

Level B – Red: All regional units of Attica and Piraeus, (except the nearby islands), Viotia, Drama, Evros, Imathia, Thira (Santorini), Ioannina, Kavala, Kastoria, Kilkis, Kozani, Larissa, Naxos (not Amorgos), Xanthi, Pella, Pieria, Rodopi, Trikala, Halkidiki, Magnesia.

Level C – Grey: Thessaloniki, Serres.

It is recalled over the weekend, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced mandatory nationwide measures in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The new measures:

  • Use of a mask everywhere, indoors and outdoors
  • Daily curfews from midnight to 5:00 in the morning
  • Complete distance learning in universities
  • No gatherings

In Red Zones restaurants, bars and cafes will shut down as of November 3, 2020 for one month. However, retail shops, schools, hotels, hairdressers and outdoor archaeological sites will continue to operate.

In Grey zones, such as in Thessaloniki and Serres, there are specific lockdown restrictions:

  • Use of a mask everywhere, indoors and outdoors
  • Residents and visitors will need to send an SMS for movements outside the home
  • Daily curfews from 9pm-5am
  • 5:00 in the morning
  • All retail stores, bars, cafes, restaurants, gyms and churches will be closed
  • Schools will remain open
  • Complete distance learning in universities
  • All domestic/international flights and rail routes are suspended
Information regarding the covid-19 measures in each region, can be accessed in three ways:
  • by entering a postal code in the relevant field
  • by selecting the regional unit from the relevant menu
  • by clicking on the area of ​​interest on the map
