Hackers show videos with erotic scenes during online school lessons in Rhodes & Kalymnos

E-learning started with major problems as the COVID-19 pandemic has kept Greek students away from schools, and hackers have not made the situation any easier.

In addition to the crashes and problems online students in Rhodes and Kalymnos experienced, they were also the target of hackers.

Hackers took over student accounts at the time of lessons and projected pornographic scenes onto their computer screens.

The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate are in full swing to locate the hackers.

Greek authorities announced days ago that primary schools and childcare centres will be closed until the end of November to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

Education Minister Niki Kerameus stated that primary students will be schooled by a combination of educational TV and remote instruction, with the TV broadcasting lessons in the mornings and remote instruction from 2-5 pm.

Greece entered its second nationwide lockdown last weekend. Furthermore, there is a nationwide night curfew from 9pm-5am.
