Navy reservist dies from COVID-19 in Volos

A 47-year-old sailor, having been infected with COVID-19, passed away today in the Nea Dimitriada area of Volos in Central Greece.

According to E-Thessalia, the ambulance and police services were notified early in the afternoon by a friend of the 47-year-old Navy reservist who was at home with him.

It became known that he was infected with COVID-19 after coming into contact with a confirmed case.

According to the friend, the Navy reservist developed all the symptoms of COVID-19 while in quarantine but did not go to the hospital.

The Navy reservist also had other health problems.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, who was admitted to Evangelismos Hospital for precautionary reasons, has tested positive for COVID-19, as reported by Greek City Times.

Archbishop Ieronymos is suffering with only mild symptoms.

According to state television, he is in good condition and has not shown any worrying symptoms.
