Thessaloniki police proceeded to arrest a 35-year-old man who, while he had tested positive for COVID-19, violated the mandatory quarantine to supply drugs.

The 35-year-old was arrested after a police check in the Evosmos area.

In addition to the drugs they found on him, police found that he had violated the quarantine.

The 35-year-old had undergone a COVID-19 test last week and the result was positive.

Inside the car, owned by his wife, there was 145 grams of processed cannabis, 19 grams of raw cannabis, an electronic precision scale and a sum of money allegedly linked to drug supply.

The 35-year-old is being held at the Halastra police station and will be charged with drug supply, felony criminal mischief and breach of disease prevention measures.

He was also fined 5,000 euros for violating the quarantine.
