Yesterday afternoon in Evros, a human trafficker was arrested by police officers of the Didymoteicho Border Guard Department of the Orestiada Police Directorate for bringing illegal immigrants into Greece.
More specifically, the police arrested the perpetrator because they located him driving a car and transporting three illegal immigrants, Focus FM reported.
It is noted that the human trafficker did not obey a stop signal from the police and in his attempt to escape he collided with a patrol car,.
There were no injuries but the smuggler was found to be without a driving license.
The above vehicle and amount of money were confiscated.
The arrested person will be taken to the Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Orestiada, while the preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Border Guard Department of Didymoteicho, Orestiada.
