Oxford company Greece co-founder dies after contracting coronavirus infection

Businessman Christos Tsiolias, co-founder and vice president of the Oxford clothing company, died aged 62 after being infected by the novel coronavirus.

The announcement was made by the Hellenic Clothing Industry Association on Thursday.

Oxford Company

The company which specializes in men's shirts, was founded in 1991 and named after the eponymous cloth which inspired its founders.

It started in the northern city of Volos, Greece and moved its headquarters and main facilities to Thessaloniki.

It currently has nearly 50 stores in Greece, and as of 2011, it represents the Italian shoe company Geox.
