Dendias to visit Amman for tripartite meeting between Greece, Cyprus and Jordan

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will travel to Brussels on Monday to attend the EU Foreign Affairs Council and then to Amman to attend a tripartite meeting between Greek-Cypriot-Jordanian foreign ministers.

With regard to the EU Foreign Affairs Council, its agenda includes EU-Turkey relations with a view to the European Council, post-election developments in Georgia, the situation in Venezuela, and human rights.

The course of the EU's Transatlantic relations will also be discussed.

Finally, during a working lunch, the issue of the Union's strategic autonomy, as well as current developments in Hong Kong will be discussed.

After the completion of the Foreign Affairs Council, Dendias will travel from Brussels to Amman, in order to participate in the tripartite Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs between Greece, Cyprus and Jordan.

The summit is expected to focus on trilateral co-operation at the political and economic levels, as well as regional developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, Libya and Syria, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
