Twinkle, Twinkle.

The city streets are decorated with lights, the Christmas tree goes up in Syntagma Square and everyone is shopping online for presents for their loved ones.

Despite the covid-19 pandemic, there's still festive cheer.

Inside the fence of Athens' official Christmas tree are animal figures (such as donkeys and cows), resembling the nativity scene.

Omonia Square has been illuminated for the festive season!

“For several years we did not have a square and there was a lack of light from the whole area. This special Christmas, we have Omonia Square again with the decoration it needs,’ Athens mayor Kostas Bakogiannis said.
