Pop star Ariana Grande announced she is engaged to luxury real estate agent Dalton Gomez!
The 27-year-old singer took to Instagram to show off her new diamond ring along with the caption “forever n then some.”
What most people know is that Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993), known as Ariana Grande is a famous American singer and actress.
What they don't know is that the young pop idol is of Greek descent, as she revealed through her social media accounts 7 years ago.
"Just found out my grandparents are heavily Greek and part North African.... I thought I was Italian... who am i ? my whole life is a lie", she tweeted on April 11, 2014.

After searching for her roots, Ariana publicly declared that she has Italian ancestry. Specifically, she is half-Abruzzese and half-Sicilian. Sicily and Abbruzzo are both Italian states in the modern day Italy. Both her parents are descended from an Italian family.
Deeper research into her roots has shown her to be half North African and half Greek, which still would point back to her Italian origin.
In Antiquity, Sicily – along with large portions of mainland southern Italy – was known as Magna Graecia, a sort of Greek province; colonial settlements coming from the Greek peninsula and archipelago were numerous, especially along the eastern and southern coasts.
Even today, entire, impressive cities with the vestiges of the era are clearly visible – just think of Siracusa and Taormina, with their magnificent Greek theatres, the open-air stages both perfectly preserved and 1,500 and 1,700 years old, respectively.
