Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced during his Monday meeting with President Katerina Sakellaropoulou that he will be vaccinated on December 27.
Mitsotakis informed the President about all the data regarding the course of the pandemic, the management of the crisis, and the National Vaccination Plan in the country.
“I personally will be vaccinated on the first day that the vaccine will be available in Greece, as things stand, on December 27,” he told the President.
“I’m moderately optimistic that in 2021 we will leave the pandemic behind us and we will be able to return not just to normal life, but to rapid economic growth so that we can heal the great wounds caused by the pandemic worldwide as soon as possible.”
“Our great concern is home gatherings during the holidays,” said the Prime Minister.
The first batch of COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive in Greece on December 27 and be put into use at the end of this year.
