COVID-19 test positivity index in Greece is below 4%

COVID-19

Greece was marked in green on the map published by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), after the positive index for COVID-19 testing fell below 4%, AMNA reported.

Falling below 4% means that the percentage of positive COVID-19 cases is lower than 25 cases per 100,000 population.

COVID-19ECDC maps are based on data reported by EU Member States in the European Surveillance Database.

This optimistic message about the declining course of the pandemic was emphasized during the last briefing by the Ministry of Health.

Scientists stress, however, that we must continue to be very careful and strictly adhere to safeguards,.

According to the Ministry of Health this is because "the decline in morbidity is certainly much slower than the upward trend, indicating that the pandemic may worsen dramatically in a short period of time, but then slows down with difficulty."
