Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou on New Year's Even had the opportunity to talk with officials of the Armed Forces from Gavdos to Evros, but also with officials who in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.
Sakellaropoulou expressed the thanks and gratitude of the Greek people because the Armed Forces guarantee the security of the country in difficult conditions.
Earlier, the president heard carols performed by children of the Center for the Protection of Minors "Lighthouse of the World" in Dendropotamos, Thessaloniki.
She also heard carols from children of the Megisti school in Kastellorizo.
She exchanged wishes with the heads of the Stroggili, Gavdos and Gemistis, and outposts in Evros, as well as the captains of the Nikiforos Fokas and Adrias frigates who are on a mission in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.
The president also spoke with the commanders of the 130th Battle Squadron in Lemnos and 133th Battle Squadron in Kastelli Plain of Crete, as well as the commander of the Coast Guard "604" who oversees the sea area of Samos.
The President also had the opportunity to communicate, via satellite, with captains of the Greek ships Leonidas and Athina sailing in the Indian Ocean, wishing them good seas.
