While the pandemic has meant our lives have had to be different, lots of people have found ways to make their experience as positive as possible.
Some of the silver linings of lockdown include people making more time for exercise, more family time, starting a new hobby or improving skills.
One such person is Giorgos Kotsimpo, who set a new world record and entered the Guinness Books of World Records.
Kotsimpo broke the world record in Heraklion (Crete) on December 18, 2020, for the most hand release push-ups in one minute.
He did 64 push ups in a minute, 6 more than the past record of 58.
Kotsimpo was inspired to undertake a Guinness World Records title after suffering a serious arm injury last year.
This particular exercise challenged him specifically where his injury was sustained, but determined Kotsimpo set a new record and achieved a personal goal in the process of his recovery.
He is proof that with courage, determination and dedication, it can be done.
