Greece’s tennis star Maria Sakkari presented her new logo on social media, which is inspired by Greece's culture.
"Today I would like to share something very special which is close to my heart. As you may know, my country of origin, Greece, means the world to me and I draw a lot of my motivation and inner strength from this beautiful land and its rich heritage," the World No.22 tennis player said.
"I hope it embodies not only tradition, but also the resilience of our nation and its people," she added.
In the text that accompanies the video, she also noted that she is ready to play in the Australian Open and be reunited with the Greek community in Melbourne:
"After what has been an extremely difficult year for the whole world, we have started 2021 searching for the light at the end of the tunnel. While wishing everyone, lots of love, today I am proud to present something very special to me."
The Australian Open will start on February 8, three weeks later than scheduled.
