“Warm congratulations to the new United States President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris,” the Foreign Minister said on Twitter.
He then revealed that the uploaded picture was with then US Vice-President Biden taken in 2009 when he represented the Greek government at an event hosted in the White House to celebrate the 1821 anniversary of the Greek Revolution.
“Our relationship is at the highest point ever. Looking forward to a fruitful and productive relationship with President Joe Biden and Secretary of State nominee Antony Blinken,” he said in a second tweet.
“The US is a crucial partner of our country, with whom we share a common strategic vision,” he added.
