'Visit Greece' voted best app of the year at the e-volution Awards 2021

Mobile phone application Visit Greece, developed by GNTO and Warply with the support of Mastercard and Eurobank, has won numerous accolades at the e-volution Awards 2021.

The Visit Greece app won the following:

  • Platinum award as best app in the category of Specialised Practices and Strategy
  • Gold award as "Best Mobile app" of the year  in the category of Specialised Practices and Strategy
  • Gold award as "Best in Travel & Tourism" in the E-commerce and e-business category

The application has also been distinguished in Mobile Excellence Awards 2020 with the Gold Award in the Mobile Digital Transformation section, according to an announcement.

“These awards prove the success of this project. One of our main priorities at the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) is to strengthen the digital tools for the promotion of Greek tourism,” said Dimitris Fragakis, GNTO Secretary General.

The Visit Greece App is a useful tool for visitors to Greece, where they can quickly and easily find travel information, as well as real-time information on tourism issues.

The app also features a special Covid-19 section with digital maps, info and push notifications for updates during the tourism season.

The application which was launched six months ago, already has over 700,000 downloads.

“We have made specific moves in order to respond to new trends by investing in innovation and new technologies,” Fragakis added.
