By Joint Ministerial Decision (B 182), measures to reduce national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants to improve air quality were made, News Auto reported.
This is particularly related to the pollutants sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), volatile organic compounds other than methane (NMVOC), ammonia (NH3) and fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
The national policies and measures included in the National Air Pollution Control Program (EEPAR) concern the agricultural sector, waste management and transportation.
The decision was made after extensive public consultation took place with extremely interesting and targeted comments regarding the measures and policies contained in the institutionalised National Plan for Energy and Climate.
