Legendary basketball player Shaquille O’Neal expressed his appreciation for Panagiotis Fasoulas, saying that he is his favorite Greek player.
Fasoulas and O’Neal were faced off in the 90’s in matches between Team USA and the Greek national team.
Although at the moment, another Greek, Giannis Antetokounmpo, excels in the NBA, the veteran ace in his statements expressed his preference for Fasoulas, saying jokingly that the “Greek Freak” comes second.
“Speaking of Greece, I want you to give a shout out to my favourite player from Greece, Fasoulas. Fasoulas is my favourite player in the history of Greece,” the Big Shaq said.
“The Greek Freak is second. I have no disrespect for the Greek Freak, but I’ve always loved Fasoulas. To all the people in Greece, love you,” he added.
