In the singles, Millman fell in straight sets to Pablo Carreno Busta 6-2 6-4 to put the Aussies in an early hole.

The losses in the first two legs meant that doubles pair John Peers and Luke Saville were simply playing for dignity in the finale against Carreno Busta and doubles veteran Marcel Granollers.
The skilled Spanish pair pulled through, running out 6-4 7-5 winners to complete a 3-0 sweep.
