Nick Kyrgios saves two match points, wins five set thriller against Frenchman Ugo Humbert

Nick Kyrgios took on French 29th seed Ugo Humbert tonight in the second round of the 2021 Australian Open.

Early in the clash, Kyrgios pulled out an under-arm serve which set off an almighty roar from the crowd.

His service game was also impressive, maxing out with a monster ace at 213km/h down the 'T'.

However, the game did not come without a bit of drama as there was 'clearly' a broken net sensor.

“Turn the machine off ... it’s ruining the game. Do you understand that?” he ranted to chair umpire Marijana Veljovic.

He even threatened to stop playing until the net detector was removed.

Kyrgios still managed to win the next two points to claim the second set.

The crowd was having a lot of fun and cheering loudly throughout the Humbert-Kyrgios match.

In the end, Kyrgios won 5-7, 6-4, 3-6, 7(7)-6(2), 6-4.

"That is one of the craziest matches I’ve ever played," he said in his post match interview.

He will meet Dominic Thiem in the third round.
