Coming off a long five-setter against Ugo Humbert, Nick Kyrgios faced last year's runner-up Dominic Thiem in the third round of the Australian Open.

In Covid-19 news, as of tomorrow (Saturday) the whole state of Victoria is heading into a hard five-day Covid-19 lockdown. This means that no fans will be able to attend matches, however play at the first grand slam tennis of the event is set to continue as scheduled.

Kyrgios tore into the match breaking his opponent immediately, then starting his service game with a couple of aces.
