Greece More than 410,000 Greeks have received Covid-19 vaccinations

Greece’s health authorities announced on Saturday 1424 new coronavirus cases and 23 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country remains at 325.

The death toll has reached 6,272, and the total cases stand at 178,918.

On Friday, the Civil Protection published the updated Covid-19 map and health authorities imposed several regional units and islands in stricter lockdown.

At the same time, they lifted stringent measures in areas where cases have decreased.

Feb 20 is precisely two weeks after Athens and Attica were placed in stricter lockdown with curfew starting already at 6 pm on Sat and Sun.

Daily infections remain constant at 600-700+ in the average.

According to the official bulletin on Saturday, based on the confirmed cases on the last seven days, 47 are related to travel abroad, and 1921 are related to already known instances.

51.8% of the infected are men.

The number of intubated patients in Greece's ICUs stands at 325 from 325 a day earlier. Their average age is 70; among them, 67.4% are men. 87.7% have underlying health problems and are aged over 70.

New admission of Covid-19 patients to hospitals are 247 (daily change -10.83%). An average number of entry in 7 days: 222.
