Attica Region stays on high alert. More areas added to nationwide list

Attica and Thessaloniki regions remain on epidemiological high-alert; several other areas and municipalities will join them in terms of coronavirus measures on Saturday through March 8, as per the government's Friday announcement.

A high-alert status has been proclaimed in the following regional units: Lefkada (except Meganisi), Thesprotia, Syros, Samos, Heraklion in Crete, and Corinth, as well as the municipalities of Arta, Didimoticho, Lokris and Amfilochia.

An alarming rise in the viral load is observed at the municipalities of Lamia and Volos, but the municipalities of Tempi and Karpathos are coming out of the high-alert level on Saturday.
