French President Emmanuel Macron will attend Greece’s bicentennial celebration of the Greek Revolution on March 25.
Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prince Charles were all formally invited to participate in events marking 200 years since the beginning of the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire.
France, Britain and Russia made their biggest contribution to the Greek Independence effort by defeating the Ottoman Navy in the Battle of Navarino on October 20 in 1827.
