Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said at the Patissia Health Centre that Greece is one of the top countries in Europe for COVID-19 vaccinations.

"We need a lot of attention so that we can start reopening economic activity and schools as soon as possible," he said while addressing the health and administrative staff of the Patission Health Center.

"The important thing is that through this process we rebuild the trust of the citizens in the state and in the National Health System. It is very important for the next day as well," Mitsotakis continued.

The Prime Minister watched the vaccination process, talked to citizens who were either waiting their turn or had just completed the vaccination, and thanked the staff of the Centre for the valuable services they offer.

"I want to thank all the staff involved in the vaccination process. I think we hear only good words from all citizens," he said.

"The bottom line is that people now know that vaccines are both safe and effective," the prime minister continued.

"I think that despite the increase in cases, if one sees the data in more detail, it starts and appears and is reflected in the older ages that have been vaccinated," noted Mitsotakis.

He then toured all the spaces that have been designed to serve the required needs.

It is noted that more than 300 vaccinations are performed per day in this centre.

In his address to staff, he also said "we are and we must say it, [Greece] is one of the best countries in Europe at the moment in terms of vaccination speed."
