A healthy baby girl was born today by caesarean section at the General Hospital of Corfu despite the 29-year-old mother being diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Mother and baby are in good health and are under constant monitoring by health officials in Corfu.
Meanwhile, recorded in the last 24 hours are 2,215 new COVID-19 cases, of which 15 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.
The total number of cases amounts to 201,677 (daily change + 1.1%), of which 51.7% are men.

Based on the confirmed number cases of the last seven days, 71 are considered related to travel from abroad and 2,885 are related to an already known case.
