The Greek economy is resilient despite the hit made by the pandemic in 2020, pointed out Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in a tweet after an announcement made by ELSTAT.
According to the Prime Minister, "Despite a heavy reliance on tourism, GDP figures published today show that the Greek economy was more resilient than many expected in 2020."
"Alongside our handling of the COVID-19 crisis, we are shattering stereotypes," he said, adding "Greece is well-placed for success and will succeed."
