Three migrants were found dead following a fire in an abandoned building in the centre of Thessaloniki on Wednesday.
“Three men were found unconscious during the extinguishing of a small fire that broke out in an abandoned building in Thessaloniki. 15 firefighters were on site with 5 vehicles,” Greece's fire department posted on Twitter.

The three men, believed to be Algerian nationals, had been living on the third floor of the abandoned building.
Firefighters said the three appeared to have died of smoke inhalation.
A fourth man, who told authorities he was from Morocco, was found alive.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blaze.
