Defence Minister Panagiotopoulos visits the War Museum

Greek Defence Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos visited the Athens War Museum.

During his visit he was briefed by the President of the Museum, Anastasios Liascos, and the Vice President, Nikolaos Chionis, on all the upgrades and promotions of the museum.

Special reference was made to the planning made by the Athens War Museum to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire.

Panagiotopoulos commented that the Athens War Museum is the main pole for highlighting Greek heritage and the history of the Armed Forces.

The Defence Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis and the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Konstantinos Floros.
