Cypriot FM contacts Russian counterpart, discusses Cyprus issue

Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov yesterday and discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to the Cypriot Foreign Ministry on Twitter, at the centre of their communication were the bilateral relations between Cyprus and Russia, regional developments and prospects in relation to the Cyprus issue.

Discussions on the Cyprus issue were in light of the upcoming United Nations Secretary-General’s initiative for the five-party Geneva Conference.
