Manolis Dermitzakis, professor of Genetics at the Medical School of Geneva, believes that Greece is correct to continue vaccinations with the AstraZeneca vaccine despite many European countries suspending its use.

"Evidence is constantly emerging," he told SKAI.

He reassured people about the vaccine and called for calm.

The number of cases with side effects is "too far to justify even the concern, let alone the suspension of vaccinations."

"Even if we consider that there is even a slightly higher chance of side effects, the numbers are so small that they range in levels of allergic reactions," he explained.
