Mitsotakis-Macron discuss Turkey and COVID-19

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation about the developments in the Mediterranean region and COVID-19.

The forthcoming EU Summit on March 25 and 26 will examine the report by EU High Representative Josep Borrell on Euro-Turkish relations and was among the topics discussed by the two leaders.

Mitsotakis and Macron also discussed developments in Libya.

They also referred to the historical, allied relations between Greece and France.

Government sources said Greek-French relations "have remained unwavering in the 200 years since the beginning of the Struggle for Independence and are highlighted these days for March 25 celebrations."
