The atmosphere and experience on the morning of March 25 at the Acropolis, the Holy Rock of Athens, will be beyond words.
There, the Greek National Anthem will be sung by internationally-acclaimed soprano Anastasia Zannis, as the Greek flag is hoisted.
“It is a great honour for me to sing the National Anthem of my homeland on this historic day, and in fact on the Acropolis. For the last four years, I have opened the March 25 parade in New York, USA,” Zannis told Protothema.
The event will be broadcast live on ERT at 8.00am on Thursday, March 25th.
“The fact that this year, on this historic 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, I will be in Greece, participating in such a great event, fills me with emotion and pride,” she concluded.
