The President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades and his spouse Andri landed at Athens International Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' shortly before 7:30pm on Tuesday.
They are in Greece to participate in the events marking the bicentenary of the Greek War of Independence.
They were met at the airport by Education Minister Niki Kerameus and a guard of honour.
Anastasiades is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Wednesday morning.
In the afternoon, the Cypriot President and his wife will visit the restored and modernised National Gallery in Athens, followed by a state dinner at the Presidential Mansion.
They will participate in events on Independence Day, March 25, and depart Athens on Friday evening.
