Mitsotakis: Those over 60 will receive at least one COVID-19 dose by the beginning of May

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during his visit to the new mega vaccination centre in Peristeri that the COVID-19 vaccination program will help us "get our lives back in our hands."

He also stressed that Greek health services "have endured, endures and will endure."

Mitsotakis said the vaccination program is proceeding normally.

The Prime Minister estimates that by the end of April and the beginning of May, those over 60 years old or are in a high-risk category will be vaccinated with at least one dose.

Mitsotakis said that by the end of March about 1,700,000 doses of vaccines will have been administered.

He also said that the European Union must use all available means to ensure the timely delivery of vaccine doses to its member states, recalling that he himself exerted strong pressure on this issue.
