Greek Canadian actress and producer Nia Vardalos has confirmed that ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3’ is in the works and it will be filmed in Greece.

“Yes it is true that for over a year we have been trying to film a script that I wrote called ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3’. But what is also true is that we’re not filming… We are an independent film and apparently independent films cannot get insurance,” Vardalos told her followers on Instagram.

If you know someone who wants to insure this highly anticipated film, please slide into Nia’s DM’s.

“Although I love your enthusiasm, maybe some of you can stop calling my mum’s house and asking if you can be in it. Yes, everyone can be in it if we can just get the insurance!” she continued.

And the news just keeps on getting better…when the film gets insurance, it is going to be shot in Greece!

Fans of ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’, have been waiting for quite some time to hear news about the third instalment.

And it is an understatement to say we are ecstatic!
