Hellenic Seaplanes to boost tourism in a big way

By 3 years ago

Hellenic Seaplanes joins Greece’s tourism campaign, “All you want is Greece” (Το μόνο που θέλεις, είναι η Ελλάδα), which aims to attract holidaymakers from all over the world during this year's summer season.

Earlier this week, Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis met with Hellenic Seaplanes President and CEO Nicolas Charalambous and discussed the significance of a waterway network for the development of Greek tourism.

"The development of a network of waterways is a project of importance and with the start of flights the seaplanes will create new tourism products, as well as new jobs on islands and remote areas. The ministry supports investment initiatives that promote Greece, create national transport infrastructure and provide solutions for the connection of the coastal areas of our country," Theoharis said.

On his part, Charalambous presented the company’s plans to develop Greece’s waterway in collaboration with municipalities, ports and hotels.

"We will continue to use and build on what we have achieved so far. With the help of the Greek government, Greece will soon develop the largest network of waterways in Europe and the world. The operation of seaplanes will contribute to the development of local island economies, upgrade their tourism product and improve the quality of life for residents."

"The seaplanes are warming up their engines and will be able to transport its passengers reliably, quickly and above all safely to many areas, with the ambition to unite Greece in this way. In this light, the motto of Hellenic Seaplanes 'Connecting Greece' goes hand in hand with 'All you want is Greece' and we are optimistic that everything will develop in a positive way,' Charalambous concluded.
