Over 50% of Navy personnel serving in combat fleets have been vaccinated

Vaccination of Navy commissioned and non-commissioned officers serving in surface units and submarines of the Navy continues at an increasing rate, Proto Thema reported.

In order to ensure the smooth continuation of Navy missions, the vaccination of combat crews is done on a voluntary basis.

Based on specific health protocols and guidelines given by the National Agency for Public Health, more than 50% of the officers and non-commissioned officers serving in the combat units of the fleet have already been vaccinated.

In order not to observe problems during the voyage and in order not to disturb the missions undertaken by the warships, those not vaccinated are placed in a seven-day preventive quarantine inside the ship where they serve before departure.
