On Wednesday, the platform for teachers and those aged between 55-59 years old to schedule their COVID-19 vaccination opens.
From Friday to Monday, the platform to schedule vaccination appointments for those between 18 and 59 years old with underlying diseases and are at high risk opens.
This accounts for about 800,000 people.
“The opening will be gradual, ie one day people with diabetes may come, the next with another disease,” explained the General Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Marios Themistokleous.
It is recalled that the platform for appointments of the 60-64 age group with the AstraZeneca vaccine opened on Saturday.
There are four ways to make an appointment for those who wish to be vaccinated against COVID-19:
- Go to a pharmacy that will help book an appointment.
- Go to a Citizens’ Service Center (KEP), where a third party can do so with a responsible statement.
- Through intangible prescription where the individual automatically receive an SMS message and then confirms the appointment via SMS to 13034.
- Through the emvolio.gov.gr platform.
It is noted that in total, more than 2,210,000 vaccinations have been given in Greece.
1.468 million Greeks have been vaccinated with one dose of the vaccine (14% of the vaccination coverage) and 743,000 Greeks have received both vaccine doses (7% of the vaccine coverage).
